Job description: Parts Sales Manager, Buffalo, NY

We are an industry recognized international OEM that focuses on design, manufacturing, modernization and expansion services within the concrete industry. We deal direct with the end user from initial concept of the equipment and see it through to start up and follow up service afterwards. Industry areas of focus include; concrete batch plants, major infrastructure projects requiring a concrete plant, precast concrete plants, bagging plants and paste backfill plants.

Currently, we are seeking a candidate that has a solid mechanical sales background with the role being based out of our new U.S. Headquarters located in the Buffalo region. This new offices primary role is parts sales and identifying new sales opportunities. While the majority of initial cold calling and business development to customers’ HQ has been done, “warm calling” will be required in calling on plant managers that have permission from their superiors to meet and speak with you. Overnight travel is expected and is currently estimated at 2 nights per week, depending on customer driven requirements more could be required. The role will include approximately 75% business development and 25% office administrative tasks/duties including some warehouse inventory movement/management with potential parts delivery when required.

Key daily tasks include;

         “Warm calling” in person and by phone developing sales opportunities
         Identifying and sourcing parts at customers site that may be difficult to access without product names or part numbers
         Recognizing areas of improvement within customers’ facility
         Promoting new company products, equipment and technologies

The ideal candidate…. will be an adaptable self-starter with leadership and team working characteristics. Have very strong mechanical aptitude with a sales background that has experience in industrial equipment, processes, parts and major components. When visiting customers, the candidate will have no problem taking measurements and identifying replacement parts/components in a dirty/dusty environment which will include heights, confined spaces, ladders, etc.…

         Background/education in mechanical engineering or 5+ years in industrial sales and service experience
         Material handling experience a strong plus
         Flexible and ensuring the customers are satisfied and the company is professionally represented at all times. A “That’s not my job” attitude will not work in fulfilling this role
         Ability to work independently and as part of a team
         Entrepreneurial approach
         Strong computer literacy (Microsoft suite, CRM software)
         Familiar with interrupting engineered drawings
         Valid passport and ability to travel across the border into Canada for training purposes and sales/management meeting

This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary, social benefits, and commissions.

Technical Sales Representative - Concrete Batch Plants - Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Your Duties:

  • Selling: your primary responsibility is to sell projects and meet your annual sales objective;
  • Prospecting: you have to develop new accounts in your territory on an ongoing basis;
  • Documenting: you must enter and update relevant data in our CRM software;
  • Networking: you represent the company at trade shows and associations;
  • Marketwatching: you keep abreast of the market and competition.

Your Profile:

  • experience in the concrete industry or related field;
  • experience with long buying cycles, B2B  and technical sales;
  • experience being productive while traveling from coast to coast;
  • fluency in English both written and spoken (some French an asset);
  • creative, self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • effective user of MS Office tools, Maximizer CRM; 3D visualizer or CAD software a plus;
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering also a plus;
  • strong work ethic and professional integrity a must;
  • comfortable working from home office.

This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary, social benefits, and commissions.

The Regional Sales Manager reports to the company's Sales Director.
