Penn Jersey plant in Egg Harbor, New Jersey could no longer meet the region concrete demand competitively. The existing plant had reached the end of its life span. Plant safety was an issue. The challenge was to increase production, to remain competitive and to meet all of the city requirements in building a brand new concrete batch plant while maintaining full production. All of this under a tight schedule.
BMH Systems designed and engineered a brand new batch plant to be erected next to the existing one. This allowed Penn Jersey to fully operate the old plant until the new one was commissioned. BMH met the challenge by providing a small foot print, a gravity fed plant, maximizing the aggregate and cement storage under tight city height restrictions and incorporating dual, wet and dry batch bays. This is a full turnkey installation, with a tight delivery schedule. The added bonus was an increased production with an extremely consistent high quality concrete.
